  The Annadel Half Marathon is a non-profit fundraising event that, over the past 14 years, has raised significant funds to help make Trione-Annadel State Park a more beautiful place for everyone to enjoy. Thanks to the incredible support of our sponsors, participants, and volunteers, this race has become one of Sonoma County’s premier running traditions — and we’re excited to return in 2026!

  The Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K are among the biggest running events in Sonoma County, drawing runners of all levels to the scenic trails of Annadel State Park.

  • Half Marathon: 4-hour cut-off time

  • 10K & 5K: Great options for walkers and first-time participants

  Each participant receives a race medal, a event shirt, and post-race beverages and snacks.

  SOAR with Empire Express Youth Running Club

  Our coaches believe in creating a fun and healthy environment in which each athlete can develop at a rate individually appropriate for them. Our practices are challenging which will help build self-motivation in our leaders of the future. We use running as a means to empower strong and confident kids. All ability levels are welcome.

  Spring Program:

  Empire Express practice takes place at Rincon Valley Community Park(Badger Rd side under the trees near the parking lot). Runs will vary in distance. 

  This program is ideally designed for children ages 11-13 or entering 6-8th grade.
  

  Dates/Times:

  May 5 - May 28*

  Tuesday/Thursday 3:30-5:00 PM. 

  *May include entry to a local race at end of session.  Details TBA.

  Registration closes April 26^th.

  Cost:
  $129 per child for ERC members / $145 per child for non-ERC members.

  The Half Marathon course starts and finishes on the Windsor Town Green, winding through stunning vineyards dressed in fall colors. The 10K and 5K courses are flat, fast, and perfect for chasing a personal record—or simply enjoying a shorter run or walk.

  Nestled in the heart of the Russian River Valley, Windsor is surrounded by wineries and tasting rooms where you can pair local vintages with artisan cheeses, fresh-baked breads, farm-grown produce, and other regional delicacies. The town also offers a variety of welcoming restaurants, making it the perfect place to savor a post-race meal.

  5:15 pm to 6:30 pm:  Bib pick up and late registration open.

  5:45 pm: Free un-timed 100 & 200 meter races for kids 7 & under (No entry fee but parent must register and sign waiver before race). This is a fun non-competitive event. No times will be recorded.

  6:00-8:00 pm (approx.): Timed races for all runners 8 & over

  **SPECIAL NOTE: We will not be using historical bib numbers. Pick up your bib with your new number at the event. Your bib number is for all three track meets this year.

  **Also, no strollers or dogs on the track.

  Notes:
  This is a fun, family-friendly event, staffed entirely by volunteers. It is intended to simulate a high school track meet in tone and accuracy. It is a great way to introduce younger kids to our sport, serious athletes to test their training progress and for the old timers to relive the glory days.
  We make every attempt to keep track of times and report them properly within one week on our website. If you really want an extremely accurate guaranteed-reliable time for your personal record, please bring a friend with a timer dedicated just to you, or wear your own watch.
  Any child under 8 years old who would like to compete in an adult race must receive prior permission from the race director. 
  Registration fees are not refundable unless event is canceled.

  3K & 8K Races

  Two events - run for fun or as competitive as you like.  The races are run consecutively - the 3K is first and the 8K will begin as soon as the 3K is complete.  You are welcome to run one or both events.

  No divisional awards at these events (but sometimes we have a small treat for finishers).

  Breakfast potluck immediately following the 8k race.  Please bring a breakfast food / drink item to share (and your own plates and utensils if at all possible). The potluck will be indoors in the school auditorium.
