10K VIRTUAL Road Race/Walk/Run

An Out and Back course starting at Howarth Park, running through Spring Lake, and Channel Drive near Annadel State Park. 3 parks, one run!

ABOUT THE EVENT

  • All Empire Runners members completing the challenge receive 75 Grand Prix Points.

  • Dates: Run/Race/Walk the course any time between Sunrise on Thursday December 17, 2020 (7:23am) and sunset on Sunday, December 20, 2020 (4:53pm)

  • Registration is required,deadline to register is December 20, 2020.

  • To qualify for ERGP points and to be listed in results, you must submit results by midnight on December 22, 2020 by using this google form. https://forms.gle/gdRLGcjjsts8ooNS8

RUN COURSE |COURSE MAP | COURSE VIDEO

  • Park at Howarth Park 630 Summerfield Drive Santa Rosa, CA 95405

  • NEW Start Line is at Wa-Tam Camp Sign located above the Howarth Park parking lot on the bike path.

  • The course follows the bike path over the west saddle dam, towards Channel Drive

  • 1st Mile Mark is located as you go up the east damn there is a park bench on the left (north side) and its just past that bench. 

  • 2nd Mile mark is at the telephone pole on Channel Drive there is a “Bike Route Sign. It is past the bridge on the north side that cross Channel from Montgomery.  

  • 3.1 Turn Around is past the sewage pond on Channel Drive look for an orange stake in the ground. (very discreet) which will be past the 15 mph sign on the right side.  

  • 4 mile mark is on Channel Drive.

  • 5 mile mark: As you come off Channel Drive and back onto the bike path, you follow it down and then up to the top of the east damn. Right at the top there is a park bench. The mark is beyond the end of the bench. 

  • 6 miles At this point you are almost finished. 

  • 6.2 miles finish using the bike path and follow it to curve towards the picnic table looking towards Lake Ralphine at the entrance of Howarth park and the newly created concrete path.

RULES FOR THE RUN

  • Run must be completed between the set dates.

  • Time yourself without stopping your timing device.

  • Turn in your results with the Google Form link https://forms.gle/gdRLGcjjsts8ooNS8(email andreatherunner@gmail.com if you need help.

  • Send gps file to Andrea Guzman at Andreatherunner@gmail.com

  • If you feel inclined, send a holiday photo of yourself for usage in social media. You may even run in your ugly Christmas sweater. 

RULES FOR COVID SAFETY

  • No more than 12 people gathering

  • You must be at least 6 feet apart from others unless you are passing.

  • Carry a face covering for when you pass people in the park.

  • You can only run together with a family member, someone you live with, or your running social bubble.

  • Obey all park rules and regulations.
