• Mt. Tam Destination Fun Run + Potluck

  Do you love Mt. Tamalpais? Want a little variation from our normal Sunday run in Annadel? If yes, then please come out for the Mt. Tam Run + Potluck on Sunday, August 10th. We will depart from Santa Rosa at 8:00 a.m. and arrive at the beautiful California Alpine Lodge on Panoramic Highway around 9:00 a.m. After dropping off our premade food at the lodge, we will go out for a run. Various route options and difficulty levels will be offered. Finally, we will regather at the lodge for a potluck lunch before heading back home. Please RSVP by 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 8th through the following link or email Dan Karbousky (dkarbousky@gmail.com) with any questions you may have.

  Note: There is a small charge for the use of the Mt. Tam lodge - $7 per person (except children under the age of 4) for use of the lodge. This can be paid on the day of the event either in cash or Venmo.

  Note: Race start is in the State Park parking lot, NOT at Cobblestone Trailhead as in years past.

  Registration open through Friday, September 5th. Registrations after this time will not be accepted.

  Staggered Start Times
  Runners receive head starts based on age and gender.
  

  Carpooling and dispersed parking are highly encouraged as there is limited space in the parking lot at the end of Channel Dr. Consider parking on Montgomery Dr, on Violetti etc. and using the jog down Channel Dr as your warm up.

  3K & 8K Races

  Two events - run for fun or as competitive as you like.  The races are run consecutively - the 3K is first and the 8K will begin as soon as the 3K is complete.  You are welcome to run one or both events.

  No divisional awards at these events (but sometimes we have a small treat for finishers).

  Breakfast potluck immediately following the 8k race.  Please bring a breakfast food / drink item to share (and your own plates and utensils if at all possible). The potluck will be indoors in the school auditorium.

  The Last 10k is Empire Runners last race of the calendar year. You will run on paved paths and trails during the race. Finish the race with an Empire Runner mug of hot chocolate and enjoy the company of the club runners.

  Start at Camp Watam 

  Run from Howarth Park to Spring Lake Park. Mile 1 is before the dam

  Veer Left at the Chin-up bars to trail

  Cross over Violetti Entrance to Trail

  Left at Swim Lagoon

  Run paved Path to Railroad Bridge (near Rough Go Trail

  U Turn and take a left towards Hoen Exit

  Run THROUGH Campground towards Boat Ramp

  Turn Right at the first trail and run over the dam

  turn Left and run down along lake

  Follow Fishermans Trail turn left back to Howarth Park
