Empire Runners Club eGroup

Club Members Only
The Empire Runners Club (Yahoo) Egroup is reserved for club members only. Upon joining the club, new members are automatically added to the egroup, one email address per membership household. (To add additional family email addresses, please contact the egroup moderator.)

Free Online Club Newsletter
 As a member of the egroup, each month you will receive an email message containing a link to the latest online version of the club newsletter. You may also receive occasional announcements concerning club issues, events, training, teams, and races.

Message Exchange
 Using the egroup, club egroup members may exchange messages and inquiries with the rest of the membership. Strict guidelines apply. (See below.)

To post a message to the egroup, email your message to empirerunners@yahoogroups.com. (Helpful hint: Add this address to your browser’s address book.)

To reply to a message you have received from an egroup member, use the reply button on your browser. This sends a reply directly back to original sender. Unless you intend to send a reply back to the entire egroup, do not click on “Reply (via web post)” contained on the text page of the message to which you are replying.

Message Guidelines
Every message posted to the egroup will be reviewed by one or more of the club egroup moderators before it is released and must abide by the following guidelines:

  • Subject matter must be about running or issues of concern to the Empire Runners Club
  • No advertising, want ads, or personals
  • No attached files
  • No obscenity, offensive language, or disrespectful content
  • The egroup is not a chat room.

    Opting Out—Two Ways
    1. If do not wish to take part in the egroup email exchange, but still wish to receive the link to the online newsletter, please contact the egroup moderator. and ask to have your status set for “Official Announcements Only.” You will receive the monthly newsletter link and occasional club announcements, but you will not receive messages sent to the egroup from other egroup members nor be able to send messages to the egroup yourself.

    2. You may also opt to remove yourself completely from the egroup at any time. Unsubscribing means you will not have access to the monthly online newsletter. To unsubscribe from the egroup, simply send an email to: empirerunners-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com.

    Email Address Changes
     If you change your email address, please notify the egroup moderator.
