Larry Meredith
If asked to name the one individual who most personifies the club,
most knowledgable members would name Larry Meredith. Larry
is the one everyone in a meeting looks to for direction. He and
Alec Isabeau brought the energetic leadership to the club that attracted
and held members. "Coach" retired in 2001 from a long and very
successful stint as the distance coach at Montgomery HS, after his
2000 girls XC team won the State championships. His involvement
brought many high school runners into the club, and he covered their
achievements as editor of the club newsletter. He stays in toach, and
many of his former runners, now out of college, still show up on
vacations to join us for a run.
